My partner Miranda and I make music together as Meadow Gallery.
We have a 5 song EP coming out on October 15th.
Two songs have been released previously (one of which was released on 7” vinyl courtesy of 300Mics records), but these are different versions.
Here are the two new versions. Miranda’s lyrics for ‘Wild Beauty Of Our Days’ resonate so deeply in my soul. She was able to express my feelings of gun violence in a way that is so beautifully poetic.
“Come walk with me
Thru the sun dappled trees
Let the splendor and the thunder
Drop us to our knees
Did they teach you how to hate?
Did they preordain your fate?
Did they weaponize your sons?
Preach the language of the gun
Hey stranger, oh my brother
Hey stranger, oh my sister
Before you pull that trigger
Try to remember
We were made to love each other”
- Miranda Thompson.
‘Veins On Every Leaf’ is taken from a dream, where Mother Nature cries out a warning of how she is everything and everywhere, and how we need to protect her before it’s too late.
Love these tunes, and am excited that there's an EP coming! Congrats!
